A major Chapter project this year is
called "Care Packages For Service Persons Abroad". The
idea is to decorate and fill empty shoe boxes with items sought after by
service personnel abroad. These items include shampoo, bar soap,
toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving cream, razors, pens, pencils, notepad,
a deck of cards, packaged snacks and cookies, candy bars, paper back
books, magazines, and most of all a personalized note or card showing
our appreciation for what they are doing for us.
An annual project is our Sports Jamboree
for blind or wheelchair bound children. This event will be held on
August 19th and 20th, 2005 in Pine Hill, NJ.
